Description
In this striking Akkaashi, the bark’s natural hollow becomes an ancient eye, fixed in silent watchfulness. Encircled by rings, scars, and shadow, it seems to hold both memory and foreknowledge within its petrified gaze.
The title, Premonition, deepens the sense of unease suggested by the image. This is Nature not as passive beauty, but as a witnessing presence, marked by past wounds and alert to what may yet come.
Through texture, darkness, and concentrated form, Kianush transforms the surface of a tree into a powerful meditation on awareness, injury, and warning. The work suggests that Nature has seen, remembers, and perhaps knows more than humanity is willing to hear.
