In this deeply human Akkaashi, Kianush reveals The Face of Grief, a visage not formed by hand, but carved by the quiet, unrelenting force of sorrow. The wounded surface bears the imprint of time’s ache: a hollow gaze, hollowed not by violence, but by the stillness that follows it. The muted hues of ash and ochre press together like memory and silence, while darkened contours form the suggestion of eyes that have wept all they could and now simply remain.
This is not an image of anguish in motion, but of sorrow stilled: the quiet aftermath, the heavy breath of grief turned inward. Nature, here, mirrors the inner life of the soul. Through his solemn, compassionate lens, Kianush offers no answer, only the sacred act of witnessing.
