In Spring, part of Katy’s Japanese Symbolism series, the season’s gentle renewal is captured through a romantic and stylised composition. Katy’s elegant maiden is nestled among delicate blossoms, her serene presence echoing the tender unfolding of life. Her flowing robe in shades of sky blue and green is adorned with intricate cherry blossoms, which harmonise with the flowering branches that frame her.

With her signature mixed media technique, Katy adds shimmering touches of gold and copper acrylic relief paint, infusing the scene with the fresh luminosity of springtime light.
