Like Mother Earth she left behind

The untouched chalice of her silence

For him to fill with words

Of which she purged the ones that hurt

and nurtured those which helped their love survive.

Sweet nonsense dialogues

entwined with those forever pledges;

Clipped soft murmurs

from lips, red buds in bloom with hot desire
                                                                urging

keen fingers guide hands to hold each other and
                                                                     ....seal

the lifelong marriage vows.

Heads bow
under the swaying canopy of rain from heaven.

Watch out now,

Like arches, their paths split clean along their earthy way

Only to leap-loop again together, high up
                                                                into the pure azure

That sends floods into the chalice,
the chalice that will soothe their souls,

each time they float around- above their Wedding Garden.
