I knew it very well, it was a stolen thing.
And yet, he was no thief, that honest man who stole for me a peony as a gift.
Thrilled and delighted, my fingertips caressed the perfect velvet petals That stole from far above the crimson brightness of the sun To match the splendid passion of our youth in love.
