The mirror of constant time
is undisturbed
and disinterested in past or future, on its
surface shadows flicker. The face of man
leaves no trace nor the mist of breaths.
The feeble scratch at the mirror's
surface
in hope of seeing beneath it an eternity that
includes them, a promise of continuation.
They fear darkness where no night exists.
