This intractable sadness, a feeling of something
irretrievable lost, a longing for a mythical past
before the spark of life and consciousness began,
when I was timeless, the wind, the sky and rain
that falls on dry land. A man, a pale imitation of
nature for whom death gives no assurance if he
will be the wind, the sky and rain that falls on
dry land, or sink into an abyss of nothingness,
where stars are blind and the moon casts no light
of comfort through eternity.
