Angel in white lace atop the tree

holds candles in porcelain hands.

Long blonde hair to shoulders

fall upon wings of silver,

spread out full for eyes to see,

silver ribbon bow with beads,

drape down past gown length.

Like icing on a cake,

adds the finishing touch.

This antique traditionally placed,

poised on many trees,

grandmother's was the first.

Bulbs burn the candles,

still bright as virgin day.

Little angel still holds,

value in our hearts,

it lights the way for us,

for a joyous Christmas Day.
