A glacial transfer of the season

gives depth to the harvest,

the flavour robust with colour,

trees nearly unsheathed,

dusk arrives for dinner,

frost chaps the darkness,

dawn will be early to rise.

The phase of the harvest moon

has long now passed.

Rigid air brings forth snowflakes.

Consume the innocent beauty.

Spears of ice will soon hang from rooftops,

a blanket of white to cover the earth.

The year to begin and end in coldness.

Enjoy the warmth of your dwelling

with burning embers of a fireplace.

Keep warm and snuggle with love.
